Greg Mortenson has the will and the Conference is about why. Greg created the CAI and is a master at bringing together the mind and soul. Just read his book '3 Cups of Tea' and you will discover the most impressive story of will. Greg walks his talk, there is no doubt about it. In short, Greg looked at the mountains and climbed them. He looked at the children and built them schools. He decided to, and then did it. Of course he had to assemble a team, worthy in strength and of mind and soul. Greg didn't give up. He stood tall to all the resistance and critics around him. He is an individual I admire immensely.
The soul speaks to everyone. The soul says: ”Give me a pencil and I'll learn to write” ”Give me a canvas and brush and I'll paint it" "Give me a camera and I'll tell the world" Just like Greg looked at the mountains and decided to climb them. Just like he looked at the children and decided to build them schools. The soul does not ask why. It doesn't ask when and how. The soul is, it doesn't change. In my opinion, the soul is the deepest point of our existence. When we start to give it expression, we become happy. We discover joy. We realize our true potential. The soul however, without the mind, is but a shadow of it's true potential.
